It’s All About the Content

I’m a big believer that every marketing tactic is not for everyone – we all have our strengths. Some people will be excellent public speakers, who enjoy sharing their expertise with large audiences. Others will be happy to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard, as it were) and write blog posts and articles. Still others will shine when you put them in a room full of strangers to network.

As many people as there are, there will be marketing tactics and ways of implementing them.

Week of September 2, 2013 on ILNToday – A Roundup!

My favorite time of year is finally here – fall! Time for pumpkin spice lattes, jeans and sweaters, and feeling a bit like we have a fresh start. After spending so many years in school, I think fall will always feel like a new beginning to me, and what better time for some substantive writing to get underway?

I’ve no doubt many of our attorneys are feeling the same way after this week’s level of content. Here are our top posts:

Week of August 26, 2013 on ILNToday – A Roundup!

I rarely speak about personal things on here, but I can’t jump back into my roundup without a mention of why last week’s post was skipped – on August 20, 2013, my grandmother passed away at age 90. She lived a long and amazing life, but her family still misses her. For a peek into what she meant to us, you can take a look at my sister’s personal blog, where she shared the eulogy that I gave at my grandmother’s funeral.

I hope to write a post soon about how the lessons I learned from my grandmother can be translated to the legal industry, but for now, we’re back with our weekly roundup. I think it’s a sign of September arriving this weekend that we’ve had SO many substantive posts this week – September always feels like a new beginning to me (all those years of school year beginnings, I suspect), and I think many of our lawyers are looking at it in the same way.

So here are this week’s top posts!

Week of August 12, 2013 on ILNToday – A Roundup!

It may be August, but it feels like September, and I couldn’t be happier! I love when I can leave the windows open all day and not feel as though I might burst into flame. This week, I’ve also been more focused on collecting information from all of our attorneys around the world (even those without RSS feeds), so we have some really great content coming in! In fact, we’re doing a top six this week, because so many of our articles were tied for popularity!

  • Schools face new bullying law challenge from Gadens Lawyers: New bullying law go into effect on 1 January 2014 in Australia, and this will have some interesting implications for schools, who are more broadly defining “employees.”
