Arnstein & Lehr Chicago Partner James A. Chatz and Associate Robert A. McKenzie were quoted in the April issue of Inside Counsel. The article titled “Costa Concordia shipwreck litigation could stall” discusses the Italian cruise ship, owned by Carnival Corporation, which struck a rock on January 13 that tore a hole in its hull, causing the ship to capsize. Mr. Chatz comments that Carnival may not be liable, even though it’s the parent company. Mr. McKenzie comments that Carnival’s decision to release few statements regarding the accident may be inappropriate in terms of public relations.
