RSS involved in a continuing education programme of the Bar on insurance

October 18, 2017 — On October 27, the Bar of Quebec is hosting a continuing education seminar on recent developments in insurance law.

Katherine Delage will be presiding the activity, and Jean-François Lamoureux will be making a presentation on “ La SAAQ, les assureurs automobiles et les accidents hors Québec : Réflexions et solutions” (Quebec’s automobile insurance board, automobile insurers and accidents occurring outside Quebec: reflections and solutions).

Sit, Fung, Kwong & Shum organize seminar on mediation

As part of its drive to promote mediation, the Department of Justice organized a seminar on mediation during its “Meditate First” Pledge 2017 campaign.

Senior Partner C. K. Kwong and Consultant Sylvia Siu were invited by the DOJ to be speakers at the Panel on Commercial Disputes on 13th June 2017 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Seminar began with an opening speech by the Registrar of the High Court, Mr. Lung Kim-wan which was immediately followed by a Mock Mediation and the Panel Session. A Reception followed the event with welcome remarks delivered by the Honourable Mr. Rimsky Yuen SC and keynote speech by the Honourable Mr. Justice Lam, V-P.

On April 5, Robert J. Munnelly, Jr. and Patrick T. Clendenen, shareholders at Davis Malm, will present the program, “Protecting Data & Dealing with Breaches Globally in 2017,” as a seminar for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE).

BC’s new Franchises Act – How does it affect BC franchisors?

John Rogers is the keynote speaker at our upcoming complimentary breakfast seminar to review the new BC Franchises Act, which will come into effect once regulations to it have been finalized.
