By means of Legislative Decree no. 129 of August 3, 2017 (the “Decree”), the Italian Government has implemented Directive 2017/65/EU on markets in financial instruments (MiFID II) and Regulation (EU) No. 600/2014 (MiFIR) in Italy. The Decree has amended the Italian Consolidated Law on Finance (Legislative Decree no. 58 of February 24, 1998, as subsequently amended) in order to transpose MiFID II and align to the new provisions included in MiFIR which are directly applicable in Italy.
