Benas Poderis on the effect of the new regulation of the investment funds on the Lithuanian market of asset management services

The new version of the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Collective Investment Undertakings, that came into effect on 1 July and implements the UCITS IV directive, introduced certain changes into the Lithuanian market of asset management services. From now on, management companies registered in Lithuania will have the right to establish UCITS in other EU member states, will have the right to adopt structures of master UCITS and feeder UCITS, the procedure of distribution of investment units abroad became simpler, also some other novelties useful for other market participants appeared.
