I am thrilled to announce the fourth release of our Corporate Group’s International Guide, Establishing a Business Entity. This collaborative electronic guide offers a summary of key corporate law principles in 31 countries across the globe, serving as a quick, practical reference for those establishing an entity in these jurisdictions. In 2017, we have added ten new jurisdictions, which includes Australia, Brazil, Colombia, France, Greece, India, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, South Korea, and Sweden. The group continues to work collaboratively to update the guide with the latest figures and regulations for their countries, and we’re really excited to provide this valuable resource for firms and companies with multinational business needs.

International Lawyers Network Elects New Chairman

Business colleagues raising flags of different of countriesNew York (June 20, 2017) – The International Lawyers Network, a global network of more than 5,000 lawyers, announced today that Simon Ekins of Fladgate LLP in London, England, has been elected Chairman.

Ekins assumes the chairmanship from Peter Altieri, shareholder with Epstein Becker & Green, following an election by the Board of Directors during the Network’s Annual Meeting in Stockholm, Sweden early this month. Altieri has served as ILN Chairman since June 2009, stepping down after eight years of service.

“We are so appreciative of Peter’s efforts and all the work and time he has devoted to the Network as Chairman over these last eight years,” said Alan Griffiths, Executive Director of the International Lawyers Network. “His heart-felt speech at our Annual Conference’s gala dinner was met with a long-standing ovation from all in attendance, which was a true testament to the respect he has garnered during his time in the position.”

Sharon Druker co-authors an international manual on the creation of businesses

September 7, 2016 — The International Lawyers Network [ILN] released today the third annual edition of Establishing a Business Entity: An International Guide. This manual provides a concise description of the conditions and procedures for the creation of a business in 22 countries. RSS is the Quebec member of the ILN, an alliance of 91 firms in 66 countries, with over 5,000 lawyers.

Once again, Sharon G. Druker has authored the chapter on Canada, with contribution by Michael Slan of Fogler Rubinoff LLP, the Ontario ILN member.

AILFN Board Elections announcement

International Lawyers Network Forms Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Specialty Group

(PRLEAP.COM) New York (March 31, 2015) – On Tuesday, the International Lawyers Network announced the formation of their Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Specialty Group, which will be co-chaired by James Giszczak of McDonald Hopkins (Cleveland, Ohio) and Stuart Gerson of Epstein Becker & Green (Washington, DC). The group joins the ILN’s thirteen other practice and industry-focused specialty groups.
