Arnstein & Lehr Chicago Partner Samuel H. Levine was recently appointed a member of the Chicago Bar Association’s Construction Law and Mechanics Lien Subcommittee, which is charged with drafting legislation for bonding over mechanics lien claims. The subcommittee’s purpose is to draft legislation acceptable to contractors, lenders, sureties and owners permitting interested parties in real estate to bond over mechanics lien claims.

Partner James Durkin sworn in to the board of managers of the CBA

Chicago Partner James B. Durkin was sworn in on June 16 at the 138th Annual Meeting of the Chicago Bar Association to its board of managers. The board of managers sets policy for the 22,000 member association and exercises the authority conferred by law on an Illinois not-for-profit corporation. Founded in 1874, The Chicago Bar Association is one of the oldest and largest metropolitan bar associations in the United States.

Judith Grubner performs with the Chicago Bar Association Symphony Orchestra – tickets available for June 5 performance

Chicago Partner Judith Grubner is busy this spring performing with the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) Symphony Orchestra as its principal flutist.  Fresh from their triumph in Naperville, Illinois on May 7, the Symphony Orchestra, CBA Chorus, Naperville Chorus and Young Naperville Singers will perform Carmina Burana from the stage of Chicago’s Symphony Center on June 5 at 7:30 p.m. in celebration of the CBA Symphony Orchestra’s 25th anniversary.  Although the main floor and front first balcony are sold out, there are still tickets available in the back first balcony and second balcony.  To view event information, please click here
