Lidings has further strengthened its leading position in providing legal support to clients from the Asia-Pacific region operating in the automotive industry and actively developing their presence in the Russian market. Emphasizing automotive industry as one of the Firm’s flagship areas of expertise, extensive experience in representing some of the largest international car manufacturers, and long fruitful collaboration with leading Chinese law firms are all among the main contributing factors.
Opening of the new business season was marked with a start of two new major projects where Lidings is supporting the leaders of Chinese automotive industry in entering the Russian market. In the first project Lidings acts as legal advisor to Beijing Automotive Industry Company (BAIC), the largest manufacturer of commercial and agricultural transport in China, on a joint venture project for the establishment of a production line with an Ulyanovsk-based company “BAW Motor Corporation”, part of the Russian AMS Group.
