On 18 December 2012, the Minister for NSW Fair Trading, Anthony Roberts announced public consultation on proposed reforms to the Retirement Village Regulations 2009 (NSW). Significantly they incorporate provision for a standard village contract for NSW retirement villages. The public can comment on the proposed regulations until 25 January 2013.
The proposed regulations incorporate three documents:
a. a standard retirement village contract;
b. a general inquiry document; and
