U.S. Attorney David C. Weiss recently announced a settlement with Hunt Companies, Inc., one of the nation’s largest providers of privatized military housing. The settlement of $500,000 resolves fraud allegations arising from Hunt’s submissions of materially false information about the condition of private military housing at Dover Air Force Base between January 2013 and June 2019. It was alleged that the false information caused Hunt to receive larger performance incentive payouts from the U.S. Government.

Ahlawat & Associates (“A&A”) has advised Rooter Sports Technologies Private Limited, on its ‘Series A Investment’ round wherein the investment was led by Lightbox Ventures III, MCG II Investments LLC, and Duane Park Private Limited followed by investments from 9Unicorns Accelerator Fund I, Goal Ventures Partners I LLC, Advantage AIV India LP, Manjushree Capital Advisors, Beerbiceps Ventures LLP and various other Series A Angel Investors along with witnessing participation from Lead Sports Accelerator Management GMBH and various other existing shareholders. The deal value of the Series A Investment round amounted to approximately USD 25 Million.

It is with great sadness that Connolly Gallagher announces the passing of Rachel Dwares, wife, mother, partner, and friend to so many. Rachel was a founding partner of the firm and had been a practicing real estate attorney for over 35 years. A Delaware native and graduate of Brandywine High School, Rachel went on to study at Cornell University and Boston University School of Law. She moved first to Chicago, where she met her husband of over 30 years, and then returned to Wilmington in 1994 to begin her practice here.
