On March 16, 2016 the Presidium of the Russian Supreme Court has published on its official website the Review of case law on goodwill protection.
The Review concerns various aspects of goodwill, including IP protection. In particular, Clause 14 of the Review defines that spreading of false information about a trademark may negatively affect the trademark holder’s goodwill, even if the trademark holder is not mentioned in the publication.
