CORPORATION TAX UPDATE (NORTHERN IRELAND)

On the 8th January 2015, the UK government published a bill proposing that the NI Assembly has the right from April 2017 to set a separate and lower corporation tax rate for Northern Ireland than in the rest of the UK.

Corporation tax is the tax that companies pay on their trading profits and which is currently levied at the uniform rate of 21% throughout the UK, although this will be reducing to 20% in April 2015.  More…
