Government Shutdown “Closes” NLRB: 1600 of 1611 Employees Furloughed

A Reaffirmation of the Seventh Circuit’s Reluctance to Permit Filing Under Seal

Courts in the Seventh Circuit don’t like to permit parties to file documents under seal. That philosophy is evident in many places, including Seventh Circuit precedent and the local rules for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. A new decision from the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin reaffirms that the Circuit’s attitude against sealing is alive and well these days.

Landmark judgment in a successful case against BLRT Grupp

The Supreme Court did not grant leave to an appeal in cassation lodged by BLRT Grupp AS (“BLRT”), resulting in the final entry into force of the judgement of Tallinn Circuit Court of 14 June 2013 according to which the resolution not to submit claims for damages against members of the supervisory board adopted at the general meeting of the shareholders of BLRT in February 2012 was void due to a conflict of interests.
