Cleveland, Ohio (May 9, 2013) – Matthew K. Henken has joined McDonald Hopkins Government Strategies, a Washington-based subsidiary of McDonald Hopkins LLC, a business advisory and advocacy law firm. McDonald Hopkins Government Strategies, which provides strategic counsel at the federal government level, is led by former Congressman Steven LaTourette.
In his position as Legislative Manager, Henken advances client priorities by crafting communications, monitoring key legislative and policy issues, conducting research, and providing analysis. He came to McDonald Hopkins Government Strategies with 10 years of experience in the United States House of Representatives where he worked on nearly every federal issue, including national security, intelligence, aerospace, homeland security, House operations, budget, and appropriations. Most recently, Henken was the Legislative Director and Rules Committee Associate for U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-CO). Earlier, he served as personal staff on the Homeland Security Committee and was a aide to U.S. Rep. Mark Udall (D-CO).
