John Ropiequet
On May 6 – 7, 2013, Arnstein & Lehr Chicago Partner John L. Ropiequet presented two programs at the Consumer Financial Services Conference in Annapolis, Maryland. The first program, entitled “Fair Lending,” discussed recent fair lending developments on the federal enforcement front and in private class action litigation, focusing on what may happen as the consumer Financial Protection Bureau attempts to enforce fair lending laws for the first time in the auto finance segment of the industry. The second program, entitled “Top Ethics Pitfalls Facing In-House Counsel,” explored the legal ethics implications of several areas of concern, including cloud computing and representation of multiple entities by house counsel.
