Grubner authored a recent article entitled “Display in Musical Clip from ‘Ed Sullivan Show’ Was Fair Use” for the Law Journal Newsletter, Intellectual Property Strategist. She discusses whether or not it was considered “fair use” under the Copyright Act for the Tony award-winning musical “Jersey Boys” to use a seven-second clip from a 1966 episode of “The Ed Sullivan Show” to introduce a scene in the musical.
