5th business conference: THE CHARMS AND PITFALLS OF EU FUNDING

The conference “The charms and pitfalls of EU funding – what can the Estonian economy expect from the EU budget period 2014-2020”, which celebrates its fifth anniversary this year, will be held on 15 March from 8.30 to 14.00 atSwissotel Tallinn.

The conference is organized by TARK GRUNTE SUTKIENE, daily Postimees and business news portal E24.

At the fifth Big Issue business conference, Siim Kallas, Vice President of the European Commission, will tell us the truth behind the distribution of funds in Brussels. He is followed by Ivar Sikk, Deputy Secretary-General at the Ministry of Finance, who will speak about the use of EU funds in Estonia. An economic analyst, Maris Lauri, will speculate on what would be the state of our economy and finance without EU funding, and the Irish former Minister of State for European Affairs, Dick Roche, will share his experience of how the Irish economy was revived with the help of EU money. Jüri Käo, a successful Estonian businessman, will speak about the expectations and visions of the local business community.
