Estate Planning attorney Katherine Wensink joins McDonald Hopkins law firm

Cleveland, Ohio, (January 11, 2013) – Katherine E. Wensink has joined the Cleveland office of McDonald Hopkins as Of Counsel in the firm’s Estate Planning Department where she will focus on counseling individuals and businesses in the areas of estate planning and administration, tax, retirement plans, and corporate law.

Wensink has extensive experience drafting complex estate and business plans, including charitable foundations and trusts, as well as working with clients through the administration of an estate (including both probate and non-probate assets.) She also counsels clients regarding retirement plan issues, and has experience drafting defined contribution plans and deferred compensation plans. Wensink also has significant experience in the creation, maintenance, and dissolution of business entities, including recapitalizations, dealing with multiple classes of ownership, and other complex business structures.

Wensink earned her J.D. from the University of Michigan School of Law and has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Purdue University. She is licensed in Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, Michigan, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. She is also an active member in several bar associations and community programs. Prior to joining McDonald Hopkins, Wensink spent nine years at McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., L.P.A.
