Chicago Partner Cynde Hirschtick Munzer successfully co-sponsored a POWER dinner on May 19 at our Chicago offices. The dinner was part of an annual event put on by POWER: Opening Doors for Women held in six major cities across the United States, including Chicago. The Chicago event began in the late afternoon at the Merchandise Mart where 250 women gathered for networking and Professional Development break-out sessions. Afterward the women chose from four different theme dinners held throughout the city. The dinner held at Arnstein & Lehr was themed: Women in Business and Finance. Among the speakers were Cathy Niden, Managing Director, Navigant Economics; Jodie Winnett, Acting Superintendent, Northstar Lottery Group; and CJ Johnson, Financial Representative, The Heartland Group. Among those attending the Women in Business and Finance dinner were representatives from Harris Bank, the Illinois Department of Revenue, Crain’s Chicago Business, The Kenrich Group and CNA. Plante & Moran and the International Lawyers Network were additional sponsors of the Arnstein & Lehr dinner.
