Cynde Hirschtick Munzer selected as co-chair of the Chicago host committee of Vision 2020

Chicago Partner Cynde Hirschtick Munzer was recently selected as co-chair of the Vision 2020 Chicago Host Committee for the 2011 Annual Meeting.

Vision 2020, a national project of the Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership at Drexel University College of Medicine, is focused on advancing gender equality by energizing the dialogue about women and leadership.As a committee member, Ms. Munzer will help welcome the delegates to Chicago, help design and publicize a public event that is part of the annual meeting, and connect/introduce Vision 2020 to the women’s and corporate community.

“Cynde Munzer has been an active ambassador for Vision 2020 since its launch during last October’s ground breaking American Conversation about Women and Leadership in Philadelphia. We are thrilled that Cynde has agreed to serve as Co-Chair of the Host Committee for the second annual Vision 2020 meeting,” said Lynn H. Yeakel Vision 2020 Co-Chair.  “Cynde’s talent and drive will ensure the success of the second annual congress of Vision 2020’s Delegates, Allies and Ambassadors from across the U.S.”

Vision 2020’s second annual meeting will take place in Chicago, October 11-13. The meeting will bring together a congress of national delegates, representing all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

In addition to Cynde, Vision 2020 Chicago Host Committee members include Melinda Johnson (Co-Chair; Department Administrator, Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership Drexel University College of Medicine), Nuria Fernandez (Vision 2020 National Delegate, Illinois; Senior Vice President, CH2M Hill), Connie Lindsey (Vision 2020 National Delegate, Illinois; Executive Vice President, Global Head of Corporate Social Responsibility Northern Trust), Karen Perry (Exelon), Veronica Munoz (Director, ABA Commission on Women in the Profession), Laurel Bellows (Principal, Bellows and Bellows, P.C.), and Deidre Joy Smith (President, POWER: Opening Doors for Women).

The first meeting of the Chicago Host Committee will take place next Wednesday, April 27, at our Chicago office.
